About this Application

TourMAX is a multi-tenant SaaS CRM platform for tourism agencies (travel agencies, hotels, tour operators) in Turkey and Europe. The Social Inbox module unifies WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger communications into a single agent inbox.

WOX Teknoloji Yazılım A.Ş. (the company behind TourMAX) is registered as an Independent Tech Provider in the WhatsApp Business Solution Provider program and is currently completing the BSP onboarding process. Customers (tourism agencies) will connect their own WhatsApp Business Accounts via Embedded Signup; TourMAX manages the messaging infrastructure on their behalf.

Use cases tested in this demo: receiving inbound WhatsApp messages from end-customers, replying via text and approved templates, message status tracking, real-time inbox updates, and account management.

Access

Reviewer credentials are provided to Meta via the App Review submission form (in the "App Verification Details" section). Please refer to the credentials supplied there.

Testing Scenarios

1 Browse the Inbox

After login you land in the Social Inbox. You will see a 3-pane layout: filter sidebar (left), conversation list (middle-left), message thread (middle-right), and customer info panel (right).

  • 7 conversations are pre-seeded with sample data (Turkish, English, German).
  • Click any conversation to view its message history.
  • Try the filters: All · Open · Pending · Resolved · Unread.
  • Notice the green ● Live indicator on the thread header — real-time polling is active.
2 Send a Test Text Message via the WhatsApp Cloud API

Open the conversation labeled "Meta App Review Test Conversation" (last item in the list). This is a special conversation wired to the actual WhatsApp Cloud API:

  • Type a message in the composer at the bottom and click "Send".
  • The message is delivered via the WhatsApp Cloud API to the sandbox phone number +1 555 632 8276.
  • Check the message status indicators (sent → delivered → read).
  • The wamid (Meta message ID) appears in the message footer once accepted by the API.

Note: Conversations 1-6 are demo seed data; sending messages from those conversations only writes to the demo database and does not call the Meta API. Only Conversation 7 ("Meta App Review Test Conversation") performs real API calls.

3 Send a Template Message (Meta-Approved)

In the "Meta App Review Test Conversation":

  • Click "Send Template" below the composer.
  • A modal lists Meta-approved templates. Select hello_world — Meta's default approved template.
  • Confirm the prompt; the template is sent via the WhatsApp Cloud API.
  • This action exercises the whatsapp_business_messaging permission for template delivery.
4 Verify Real-Time Inbound (Webhook Delivery)

To confirm webhook event delivery and the real-time inbox auto-update:

  • From your own WhatsApp account, send a message to +1 555 632 8276.
  • Without refreshing the page, the new inbound message appears in the active conversation within ~4 seconds (real-time polling is enabled).
  • A subtle highlight animation marks the newly arrived message.
  • You can also open the Webhook Log page (top menu) to see the raw event arrive in the database event table and the file log tail.
5 Inspect Account Management

Go to Accounts in the top menu. You will see the demo WhatsApp Business Account configured for this environment:

  • WABA ID: 1179106807625929
  • Phone Number ID: 1158567800666879
  • Health status, business profile metadata.

The "Connect New Account" button is the Embedded Signup entry point. In this demo, the popup shows configuration details only; in production it triggers Meta's official signup flow. This usage requires the whatsapp_business_management permission.

6 Inspect Templates

Go to Templates in the top menu. The list shows Meta-approved templates synced from the WhatsApp Business Account. The hello_world template is Meta's default. Other entries are sample/demo data shown for completeness.

Legal & Compliance

WOX Teknoloji Yazılım A.Ş. acts as a Data Processor for customers (the Data Controllers). End-customer messages are processed solely under customer instructions and stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
